I have been a licensed clinical social worker for more than 30 years in Iowa and now
Illinois. I have worked with children and families in foster care and adoption as well as
adolescents, young adults, couples, individual adults, and seniors.
I work with many issues including ADHD, anger management, anxiety and depression,
attachment issues, hormonal shifts toward maturation, LGBTQ, trauma and/or abuse,
loss and grief, EAP, work issues, life transitions, health issues, low self-esteem, stress
management, and aging issues. I am trained in play therapy and have worked with
children as young as five.
My goal is to help individuals to meet their developmental and mental health needs and
challenges. I offer hope, empathy, and support. I appreciate the underlying strength it
takes for a client and/or family to talk about their current struggles when we explore their
emotions, values, relationships, and behaviors. This enables the process to provide
strategies and insight into positive change as clients seek a satisfying outcome.
